“Late Night” host Stephen Colbert asked one simple question after President Donald Trump’s frantic midnight posting spree on Monday night into Tuesday morning.

“Last night, Trump prepped for his enormously consequential state visit by staying up late on social media, gunking up the internet tubes with a waterfall of paranoid madness, posting over 55 times in just three hours until 1:13 a.m.,” Colbert said Tuesday of the president’s actions before departing for China.

“My God, when does this man sleep?” Colbert asked before playing a clip from Monday of Trump dozing off in the Oval Office.

“Oh, right. Right, I forgot. There you go,” Colbert said.

Trump has become notorious over the years for his late-night social media activity, but his posts since retaking the White House have become increasingly unhinged.

Much of the content that populates the president’s Truth Social account is AI-generated images, including himself as Jesus, Superman and the pope.

On any given night, Trump can be seen burning the midnight oil by attacking news outlets, his political opponents or just the “radical left” in general.

Trump has also famously been known to get minimal sleep on a nightly basis, with his former butler saying in 2016 that he sleeps “three to four hours at most a night.”
