Donald Trump on Thursday addressed reports that his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., could host a reboot of his business reality television show, “The Apprentice.”

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Trump about reports that Amazon is considering reviving the show that helped make him a household name.

“Well, well, I’ve been hearing it,” the president acknowledged.

Trump touted the original series: “Look, we had a great success — 14 seasons — and ‘The Apprentice’ was a tremendous success.”

He then turned to the possibility of his son taking over:

“So, I’ve been hearing that, you know, a little bit, so we’ll see what happens. He’s a good guy. He’s probably good. He’s got a little charisma going. You need a little charisma for that sucker swing. So we’ll see what happens. Yeah, they told me about it. We’ll see.”

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Amazon is considering Trump Jr., who appeared on the original series, as a potential host, though it remains unclear how much the president knows about the plans, which are said to be in the embryonic stage.

The report has sparked accusations that Amazon and its founder, Jeff Bezos, are once again cozying up to the Trump administration, following inauguration-related donations and a documentary about first lady Melania Trump.
