Popular Milwaukee meteorologist Lindsey Slater took to social media Thursday, March 26 to publicly address reactions to her departure from WISN-TV for the first time since she left the station last month. "Hey everyone! I've missed you," Slater's post to Facebook, Instagram and BlueSky reads. "First and foremost, I want you to know how much your messages and kindness have meant to me and my family. Your support means more than you know and I’m incredibly grateful for this community." Slater's post goes on to tell people what social media platforms to follow her on for weather updates from her. She concluded by saying "see you real soon." Neither Slater nor WISN-TV have shared the details surrounding her abrupt departure. Slater stopped appearing as usual on the station's morning newscasts the week of Feb. 23-27. Slater is challenging a non-compete agreement with WISN and her attorney, Robert Corris, told the Journal Sentinel he hopes to avoid litigation and reach an agreement with the television station.
