Protesters Slap 'Trump Propagandist' On Billionaire Donor Larry Ellison's Megayacht

Billionaire Republican donor Larry Ellison just got a scathing message from protesters who pulled a daring stunt involving his megayacht. The activist group Led By Donkeys stuck a giant banner reading “Trump Propagandist” onto the side of the tech mogul’s $160 million vessel while it was moored in the posh French Riviera. Publicizing the spectacle in a Tuesday X post, the group wrote, “We tracked down the super yacht owned by the world’s sixth richest man. Larry Ellison won’t like what we did to it.” Led By Donkeys, a British political group that first came together to protest Brexit in 2018, explained Ellison’s close ties to President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a video that accompanied the post. Last month, the younger Ellison and Paramount Skydance reached a $110.9 billion deal to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company. In its video, Led By Donkeys accused Paramount Skydance of using its subsidiary CBS News to push a “pro-war” agenda in its coverage of the conflict in Iran and warned it would soon have the same power over CNN. Though the Warner Bros. deal is yet to be finalized, Trump’s allies have already started celebrating the fact that CNN, a perpetual thorn in the president’s side, will be under the control of some of his most powerful friends. Warning people how dangerous that could be, Led By Donkeys narrates in its video, “The billionaires are buying up the news to support their friends, the politicians pitching our world into chaos and war. Then they jump onto their super yachts, accountable to nobody.” The elder Ellison co-founded the tech giant Oracle and has an estimated net worth of $393 billion. After a surge in Oracle’s stock price last October, he briefly outranked Elon Musk as the wealthiest man in the world.
