NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a series of armed robberies that happened Friday, March 20.

The first was reported in the 7700 block of Chase Street. The victim told NOPD officers that around 5:45 p.m., while at a park with friends, they were approached by a woman they knew.

That’s when three vehicles pulled up and several men exited demanding property at gun point. The victim complied and the subjects left the area.

Hours later around 9:30 p.m., NOPD officers stated a victim was working in the 1300 block of St. Anthony Street when approached by four men wearing ski masks demanding property

The victim gave his belongings and the subjects reportedly left in an unknown direction.

The last incident was reported on Maurepas Street around 11:12 p.m.

According to the victim, she was walking up the steps of her home when approached by a man with a gun demanding her property.

NOPD officers said that’s when the subject reportedly grabbed the victim’s belongings, causing her to fall, and the subject to run away in an unknown direction.

No arrests have been made in either incident. No further details are available at this time.
