The 2026 Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, streamed live on Netflix Sunday night.

The ceremony, hosted by actor Kristen Bell, honored the best and brightest performers on TV and in film. It was presented by SAG-AFTRA, the largest voting body in the awards landscape, whose members are actors, broadcasters, stunt performers, voiceover artists and other media professionals.

“One Battle After Another” led in film nominations, with seven nods, and received a single award when Sean Penn won the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role.

“Sinners” nabbed five nominations and won two awards. Michael B. Jordan won for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role, and the film won the coveted cast award for Outstanding Ensemble In A Motion Picture. Jordan’s win could shake up the Oscar race, as it was his first major solo win for “Sinners” during this awards season.

“The Studio,” Seth Rogen’s raucous industry satire, picked up a handful of awards, including Outstanding Male Actor In A Comedy Series and Outstanding Ensemble In A Comedy Series. Rogen, who stars in and co-created the series, also accepted the award for Outstanding Female Actor In A Comedy Series after it was given to Catherine O’Hara, who died in January.

Jessie Buckley and Amy Madigan, who starred in “Hamnet” and “Weapons,” respectively, also picked up top awards.

HuffPost covered the big moments at the Actor Awards. See below for the latest.

The cast of Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” won the biggest award of the night at the SAG Actor Awards on Sunday. It marks the second time Coogler has directed a film to win SAG’s coveted cast award following “Black Panther,” which earned the honor in 2019.

He’s reportedly the first filmmaker in history to achieve this.

Michael B. Jordan won the Actor Award for Outstanding Male Actor in a] Leading Role for his remarkable performance(s) as Smoke and Stack in “Sinners.” And Viola Davis’ full-body reaction was exactly what we needed to see on screen.

Just look at her! Incredible.

Delroy Lindo accepted the award on behalf of the cast.

“This project is anointed, and from that standpoint, we are all anointed to be a part of this incredible journey,” Lindo said. “Created by the genius Ryan Coogler.”

“To be recognized by you all, thank you does not come anywhere near encompassing what we feel – the gratitude. They’re telling me to wrap up, I’m not gonna wrap up,” Lindo says as he stares directly into the camera. “From the bottom of our hearts, to the bottom of your hearts, thank you so much. Thank you so much for everything. God bless y’all.”

Amy Madigan took home the Actor Award for Outstanding Female Actor In A Supporting Role for her part in “Weapons,” and it’s only right that she imitated the film’s stiff-armed run as she went up on stage.

The actor stars in “Hamnet.”

Sometimes celebrities aren’t afraid to use their platform to voice their thoughts.

Seth Rogen is the latest celebrity to call out a big entity, as “The Studio” star used his acceptance speech to call out the Writers Guild of America after winning the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

During the speech, the actor thanks SAG-AFTRA, a labor union for thousands of performers, for putting on the ceremony, but takes a jab at WGA for not paying their employees to put one on.

“You were able to pay your own employees enough to keep the awards show from being canceled. Take notes, WGA,” the seasoned actor said.

The Writers Guild of America West’s staff went on strike last month, Deadline reported.

The Writers Guild Staff Union has claimed that employers “surveilled workers for union activity” in addition to engaging in bad faith surface bargaining and terminating union supporters.

HuffPost's unionized employees are represented by the Writers Guild of America, East.

No matter how much praise Delroy Lindo receives for his latest onscreen work, the “Sinners” star always finds a way to stay gracious and humble.

During the opening “I Am An Actor” segment at the SAG Actor Awards, Lindo pointed out the irony of his current “period of wide acknowledgment,” which has caused him to reflect on his decades-long career journey, particularly the times “when things weren’t going so well.”

“Being able to look back from a place of this current success, on times that were more challenging for me, is a testament, yes, to my own self-belief and my ability to hang in. But, hopefully, it’s also an encouraging example to all actors out there who may currently be facing their own challenges,” he added.

The actor won for his role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another.”

While it would’ve been great to see “Only Murders In The Building” star Martin Short attend this year’s Actor Awards, an unfortunate circumstance prevented the veteran from making an appearance. The actor was nominated for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Comedy Series.

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed he won’t attend the award ceremony due to the death of his daughter, Katherine. The licensed clinical social worker died by suicide, the outlet reports.

He also postponed dates of his comedy tour.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Martin & Martin Short's shows on February 27th in Milwaukee and February 28th in Minneapolis have been postponed," a representative for Short’s camp previously told EW, sharing how tickets will be “honored for a future rescheduled date.”

When the news was confirmed, a representative shared a statement with the outlet, saying the family was “devastated by this loss” and asking for privacy.

Jenna Ortega tried to kick off the Actor Awards with a harmless joke but got a mixed reaction from the crowd full of millennials and Gen X actors.

While presenting the award for Outstanding Male Actor in a Comedy Series, the “Wednesday” star called the nominees “generational talents” who have appeared in classic shows like “Cheers,” “Mad TV,” “Freaks and Geeks” and “The O.C.”

“Even though they’ve been making audiences laugh since way back in the 1900s,” she joked, earning a few scattered laughs from the audience.

Guess it’s a tough crowd tonight.

"The Pitt" cast dazzled on stage.

Seth Rogen accepted the award.

“The Office” stars Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Ellie Kemper and Angela Kinsey are at the Actor Awards. The cast members reminisced about the days of 22-episode seasons, where actors got to work from September to May.

Watch the reunion here.

The actor stars in HBO’s “The Pitt,” which is now in its second season.

"To labor unions everywhere, thank you so much," he said as he accepted the award.

SAG-AFTRA, the labor union that represents over 130,000 performers in Hollywood, presents the Actor Awards annually.

Of course, Sheryl Lee Ralph, who stars as Barbara on “Abbott Elementary,” thought Michael B. Jordan and his brother starred in the horror flick "Sinners." (Jordan famously plays twins!)

This is a long-running bit on "Abbott Elementary," with Barbara confusing celebrities — she thought Michelle Williams (a member of Destiny’s Child) was the same person as Michelle Williams who stars in “Dawson’s Creek.”

The bit was pitch perfect.

The “Dawson’s Creek” star had an incredible turn in FX’s “Dying For Sex.”

Seth Rogen co-created "The Studio," which takes some fun jabs at Hollywood and the current state of the movie industry. He also stars in the Apple TV+ series.

The show also stars the late Catherine O'Hara, who died in January.

The actor won for her incredible performance in Netflix's "The Diplomat."
