SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Nextdoor, a hyperlocal social networking service for neighborhoods, has released its 2026 rankings of the friendliest neighborhoods in San Diego. Can you guess which area landed on the top of the list? The annual rankings analyze how residents interact on Nextdoor, the neighborhood-based social network used by more than 100 million neighborhoods worldwide. The company’s data highlights communities where neighbors are most supportive, welcoming and actively engaged in helping one another, according to a press release detailing the rankings. Pacific Highlands Ranch earned the No. 1 spot based on neighbor-to-neighbor engagement on the platform. Trailing this community, Kensington landed on the No. 2 spot, Westwood was ranked No. 3, followed by Rolando at No. 4 and Seven Oaks at No. 5. The scores were calculated using multiple indicators of positive community engagement, including: Posts with positive or negative tone Fulfilled neighbor requests for help or recommendations Posts expressing neighborhood pride or dissatisfaction The number of free items shared in the For Sale & Free section Welcome posts that receive responses Neighbors promoting or recommending local businesses The full list of San Diego’s friendliest neighborhoods can be found here.
